We are seeking to appoint an experienced and committed Family & Attendance Worker to work in partnership with the rest of the staff at Merrydale to develop and maintain established pathways that ensure children reach their individual potential by working with their families and professionals.
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, to be able to motivate others and a commitment to maintain high standards of achievement for all pupils, recognising individuals whilst embracing equality and diversity.
Within this role we are looking for someone who is familiar and confident in supporting families at all levels.
The role will also have key responsibilities of leading on attendance and attendance management.
The post holder may be required to attend, from time to time, training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings as required by his/her own training needs and the needs of the school.
**We are looking for someone who has**:
- A minimum of 3 years working experience in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of child protection and health and safety procedures.
- BTEC Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Educational Studies or equivalent.
- Empathy with children and young people.
- Knowledge and experience of dealing with children with a range of SEND.
