Overview:
**Product Owner**

Basingstoke Reassured Ltd is the largest non-advised life insurance intermediary in the UK with established locations in Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Southampton, Manchester, Bristol, Bournemouth and Chester.

We launched our new Advised business offering in 2021 and continue to grow our sales and support teams across the entire business this year. We arrange over 15,000 new customer life insurance policies per month with leading sales conversions and customer satisfaction metrics. The business is outbound, B2C sales from internet generated customer enquiries.

The Product Owner is responsible for managing the entire product development process. They’ll research and determine the clients’ needs to determine which features to include on products and will pitch ideas for product features to stakeholders. You will then continue to act as the primary contact between the scrum teams, product development departments and stakeholders. They’ll collaborate closely with both the scrum and product development departments to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients. After product completion, the Product Owner will conduct a final review and submit their approval before releasing the product to clients.

- Collaborates with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
- Serve as the voice of the sponsor - Identifying and helping the team understand the business model and value proposition.
- Prioritises and owns the product backlog, working with the Scrum Masters to keep this maintained.
- Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritised requirements backlog of user requirements/stories for implementation, according to business value or ROI, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally (Scrum Team) and externally (Wider Business) and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
- Solve product-related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
- Possess an understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
- Provides feedback to squads by overseeing the development team, attending Agile ceremonies as appropriate and through use of demos.
- Work with the Business Analyst(s) to develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.
- Represents Squad/Scrum team in front of stakeholders and/or users.
- Actively mitigate roadblocks impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals
- Build product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
- Keep up with Agile/Scrum best practices and trends, working with the Scrum Masters.
- Understands the business and is able to reject requirements that do not provide business value.

- Ability to develop Use cases.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelors Degree in computer Science or similar
- Three years experience as a minimum
