**Your new role**
As Associate Portfolio Manager, reporting to the Head of Internal Government Portfolios here in London, you'll be responsible for activities related to the construction, management and oversight of the internal global government bond portfolio. This includesdeveloping the investment process and implementing the portfolio's investment strategy alongside with Portfolio Managers.
The purpose of this portfolio is to provide fixed income beta exposure and generate alpha through security selection and relative value strategies in funded and unfunded forms
- Delivering investment recommendations to support the portfolios' performance and cost objectives.
- Contribute towards the management of the portfolio within prescribed mandates, adhering to policies and procedures, and compliance-related risks.
- Contributing to tools, including relevant quantitative models, to support the investment strategy and management of the portfolio.
- Timely and accurate updates of investment processes and models, preparation of investment recommendations, monitoring of performance and oversight of position exposures and risks
- Conducting research and analysis of new and alternative investment strategies
- Work closely with Dealers within the Capital Markets teams, and managing key external relationships
- Collaborate with the wider FICC team and other teams
- Contribute to papers and discussion for internal forums and committees

**You'll need**:

- Significant knowledge of instruments across rates and currency, with a demonstrable track record in alpha generation.
- Exposure in Global Fixed Income across developed and emerging market sovereign bonds, derivatives, diversified FI
- Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills, including Quantitative and modelling skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written for all level of stakeholders)
- An initiative-taking and proactive team player attitude
