Tenant Liaison Officer (TLO) Job Description

The role of the TLO is to ensure the smooth running of projects by building and maintaining positive relationships between residents and sub-contractors, carrying out building maintenance and repairs to their homes. You would be based mainly in the Durham and South Tyneside area.

**Requirements -**
- Previous TLO experience desired but not essential
- Come from a Customer Care/Customer Service background (High levels of customer service skills required)
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to coordinate multi-disciplined trades teams
- Understand the need to be respectful, understanding, sensitive, patient and discrete
- Be a team player, but also comfortable working alone
- Be IT literate
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Experience of working with contractors and tradespeople within a construction or building maintenance environment.
- Experience of working with complaint handling.

**Must have full driving licence.**

**Main responsibilities for the role include -**
- This role will be out of the office a lot of the time, in resident’s homes actively engaging with residents.
- You will remain the main contact person for residents throughout the work being carried out in their homes.
- You will regularly update residents on progress, consult with them regarding work being carried out to their homes and support them through the process through to completion.
- You will assist with monitoring the effectiveness of works carried out in resolving issues as and when they occur.
- You will work closely with tradespeople to establish a consistent service.
- Raise any site matters including issues of Health and Safety, poor or defective workmanship or any other issues.
- Keep management up to date with progress on site and liaise with them directly each day.
- Deal with complaints in a patient and empathetic manner.

Monday - Friday 40 hour working week.

Must have a minimum 2 years' experience working in Customer Service/Customer Care environment

**Salary**: £10.00-£18.01 per hour

- Monday to Friday
