Facilities/maintenance Manager

Success Recruit are currently working with a well-established and rapidly growing service company with sites covering Essex and Herts seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Manager to join the team supporting and responsible for the day-to-day management of aportfolio of commercial / residential properties with the ongoing reactive and planned maintenance.
The successful Facilities/Maintenance Manager will work closely with a forward-thinking team managing ongoing requests and working towards planned growth with a desire to progress within their personal development and career.
**The successful Facilities/Maintenance Manager will be expected to**:
- Develop and implement the annual planned and preventative maintenance schedule to ensure the organisation’s buildings are maintained to the highest standards
- Have previous experience supporting at a senior level within facilities, having current Health & Safety knowledge
- Have some technical knowledge within construction, heating, lighting, plumbing and confident working with budgets in this sector
- Work for a growing business where you will have autonomy in the position and expected to have strong problem solving ability
- Have strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to build relationships quickly

The successful Facilities/Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of a portfolio or commercial and residential property as well as supporting with new planned developments in the future offering the right person developmentwithin their existing skill set to encompass more building project management.
**Duties to include but not limited to**:
- Develop and implement the annual planned and preventative maintenance schedule to ensure the organisation’s buildings are maintained to the highest standards
- Put in place suitable procedures to ensure any required reactive maintenance is minimised and dealt with quickly, safely, and effectively
- Ensure buildings meet health and safety requirements and facilities comply with legislation
- Identify where the organisation could work more efficiently and effectively and using initiative and creativity to find solutions to overcome problems and forecast the facilities future needs
- Ensure positive and proactive relationships are maintained with a relevant and effective contractor team
- Sourcing and managing contractors and suppliers, specifying work appropriately and ensuring it is carried out to the required standard
- Communicate effectively with all internal teams to ensure the consistent, effective and efficient delivery of planned and reactive tasks
- Support internal audit procedure to identify areas for improvement and help determine strategic direction
- Work alongside finance department and directors to ensure goals are met within financial targets
- Be prepared to accept some flexibility of out of hours working could be necessary on occasions
This position would suit someone who is seeking a position where they can bring their expertise and experience to, personally grow with a business that is expanding rapidly, enjoys having ownership within a position and can demonstrate previous FM / maintenanceexperience within a growing business.
**Hours**:Monday to Friday - 9:00 - 5:00pm - flexibility will be required on occasions where some out of hours work will be required
**Salary**:Circa £40K dependant on experience
