In this role you'll provide an outstanding visitor experience through varying styles of storytelling and guided tours. This storytelling will celebrate the property's 'Spirit of Place' and you'll engage and connect with audiences of all types and ages. You'll be the face of our unique and bespoke experiences, bringing the story to life for our visitors. You'll be part of a team of Storytellers and volunteers working across the multiple venues on the property.

**Hours**:408 hours across the year on a set seasonal working pattern:
Summer hours (February to October)
- Week 1: Sunday
- Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday

Winter hours (November to February)
- Week 1: Thursday
- Week 2: Sunday

**Contract**:Fixed term until December 2025

**Salary**:£10.78 per hour

**Interviews**:24th July

What you'll be doing:As a Storyteller, you’ll bring the magic of this property alive. Delivering guided tours and tailored experiences with flair and theatre, be able to hold a space and engage with a mixed audience, ensuring visitors have an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. You'll be a personable storyteller, someone who enjoys working and interacting with people. You'll have a keen curiosity about history, as well as experience of working with the public and especially children and young people.

You'll be providing guided tours in costume in character to our visitors. In free flow spaces you will provide exciting and enlightening talks to visitors and be adaptable in answering their questions and engaging with their interests.

Along with an excitement for providing the highest standards of customer service, you’ll also be able to inspire those around you with your enthusiasm for our work.
