The Niche Partnership have partnered up with an export company who are on the search for an Assistant Accountant to join the team based in Fareham. The successful Assistant Accountant will be joining a growing company who have a genuine progression plan andvalue work-life balance, with a large holiday package, on-site parking, and Champagne Fridays
The successful Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in completing all activities to meet given deadlines.
**Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for**:

- Ensure all aspects of the role are completed accurately and on a timely basis
- Processing and accurately allocating customer receipts
- Chasing debtors for overdue invoices
- Assisting with payroll administration
- Reconcile goods in documentation to purchase invoices ready for processing
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assisting with the year end audit and liaising with auditors
- Reconciliation of daily trade finance transactions
- Assisting with implementation of new systems as and when necessary
- Any adhoc duties as deemed necessary by the Financial Controller

**What you will need**:

- 2 years experience in job roles such as - Purchase Ledger / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Purchase Ledger Administrator / Accounts Payable / Accounts Payable Clerk / Bought Ledger / Finance Administrator / Finance Assistant / Finance Officer / Sale Ledger / CreditControl / Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant / Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeping
- IT literate - confident using Excel
- Great attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- AAT level 3 is required
