Middlesex, United Kingdom West London NHS Trust Full time

**Calling CAMHS Core professions**: CBT practitioners, clinical/ counselling psychologists, family systemic psychotherapists, mental health nurses, child psychotherapists, CAMHS occupational therapists, social workers

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical manager to join the Hounslow Mental Health Support Team. We want to hear from CAMHS professionals with significant experience of day to day operational leadership, and offering supervision and line management to clinicians.

It is essential you hold a relevant clinical qualification and have previous experience of working in a CAMHS team. Experience of working in education would be a bonus. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and responsive CAMHS service, including implementation and review of systems, policies, standards and procedures within frameworks agreed by the Trust, partner agencies and commissioners.

This role is eligible for an additional “golden hello” of £5000 paid over 2 years*.

This role is a chance to make a difference in young lives, and as such includes both operational management and clinical duties.

**The main focus is to**:

- Provide day to day senior operational management and leadership for the clinical functioning of the MHST’s whilst working alongside service leaders to develop and implement a wide range of interventions and projects with local schools.
- Lead on and directly providing comprehensive assessment, risk management and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
- Work with school staff and cultures in developing school environments that are more conducive to supporting sustainably better emotional health and wellbeing.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that will provide a talented and ambitious manager with real scope to develop and influence practice. If you are interested in working with schools and want to help shape new models of evidence-based support for CYP, this job could be for you

Hounslow was one of the first sites to benefit from significant investment to develop a trailblazer MHST, as outlined in the Young People’s Mental Health Green Paper. Hundreds of CYP have now accessed guided self
- help and group work support, with encouraging feedback and clinical outcomes.

Each team currently comprises Band 5 Education Wellbeing Practitioners and Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners, high intensity CBT Therapists, a CAMHS Specialist MH Practitioner/ Supervisor and Team Lead. The teams are overseen by the MHST Managers and supported by a Team Administrator.

The successful applicant will be supported to maintain their professional registration and will have access to support/supervision from colleagues from within their discipline, if applicable. We offer high quality supervision, with excellent CPD and career development opportunities.

The post holder will work alongside the Team Leads for Hounslow Central, East and West areas and work closely with the Team Managers on service wide projects. The role requires travel to partner schools and Trust sites. In line with the Trust’s Agile Working Policy, the team are currently taking a blended approach by working remotely and face to face, as required.
