Head of Product

This is an important role in support of our growth in the technology business
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Be the primary point of contact with Suppliers, continually reviewing the milestone plans, with on-going development being executed to create project longevity.
- Scope projects effectively and gather detailed requirements.
- Drive development of the hardware and software schedule and take control of the requirements to customer approval and sign-off.
- Determine and mitigate risks involved in the projects, while clearly communicating to the internal business the impact, delays and solutions.
- Optimise resource allocation to ensure efficient product development processes and maximise productivity.
- Work closely with our China based Operations team and manufacturers.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis and customer feedback analysis to identify new market opportunities and improve existing products.
- Take responsibility for the management of time critical device deliveries, from early design concept, capturing of bespoke requirements, to delivery and major long-term developments.
- Improve system and documentation for future product developments.
- Ensuring the highest quality standards are met, and project is executed.
- Technically support other Santok departments, i.e. Marketing, Service, Sales, etc
- Fully understand and adhere to regulatory requirements in product certification.
**Essential skills**:
- Proven experience (+5 years) in product development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of technology trends.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
- Competent in managing the key aspects of a project.
- Ability to develop and execute product strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex product challenges.
- Ability to research and quickly gain new skills or understanding around the customer requirements.
- Willingness to take on project ownership and accountability.
- Experience of working within a targeted, fast-paced environment.
- Strong team working skills, across multiple functions and cultures of the business.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, drive and resilience.
- Well organised and has a high logical attention to detail.
- Ability to travel internationally.
**Salary**: Up to £45,000.00 per year
