**Brief overview of the**

**Position**:
**Working with**:
Provision of reception cover and general administration services to the staff team. Managing a range of reception and administrative activities, including dealing with telephone enquiries, greeting and assisting visitors, producing general correspondence, update of the Charity Log database. Working together with people in later years to offer services, support and education, to help them live healthy, socially active and independent lives.

Head of Age UK Barrow, Information and Advice team, Services team, Volunteers and other internal and external stakeholders.

**Main duties and**

**Responsibilities**:
Reception cover to include dealing with visitors and face to face enquiries. Answering incoming calls and signposting to relevant team members. General admin and support for all team members

Assigning client enquiries to appropriate team members.

Updating and maintaining promotional materials such as services leaflets and timetables

Processing stationery and stock orders

Processing orders for information & advice literature and ensuring stocks are maintained and displayed

Franking and processing external post.

Scanning and photocopying incoming documents

Updating client records on CRM database

Take an active part in gathering feedback from customers and community, via surveys and interactive events

**Accountable for**:

- Providing administration support to the Age UK Barrow team when required
- Signposting enquirers to the appropriate service, and addressing queries where appropriate
- Ensuring the service and support offered meets its responsibilities under Age UK Barrow and District policies, procedures and operational standards and national standards and initiatives as appropriate
- Ensuring that standards of Information Governance are maintained.

- Excellent time management ability, and capable of prioritising to work to deadlines
