Manucomm are currently recruiting for a Compliance Technologist for an award winning Food manufacturer in the heart of Devon. Within this role you will be working within a fast paced, flexible environment. This is a key role in the technical team and experience in a similar role would be beneficial. Ideally you'll understand the supplier approval process, specifications and will have managed supplier databases. You'll be qualified to level 3 HACCP and will have good knowledge of BRCGS and legislative requirements. Experience of supplier auditing would be a real advantage but is not essential and will be part of your future development if not

Compliance Technologist Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To approve new raw materials for use in NPD, ensuring all company and customer requirements are met
- Approving new suppliers and ensuring supplier approval documentation is up to date and conforms to requirements
- Ensuring internal and external raw material specifications are accurate, up to date and meet requirements
- Performing checks on incoming raw materials to ensure they conform to agreed specification
- Liaising with production regarding any raw material quality issues
- Collecting raw material samples for microbiological analysis and interpreting the results
- Ensuring out of specification raw material is quarantined where appropriate
- Liaising with suppliers regarding non-conforming raw materials, product specifications and technical issues
- Completing quality reviews where shelf life extensions may be required for raw materials
- Taking part in investigating customer complaints where raw materials may be implicated
- Assisting the Technical Manager with BRCGS and customer audits and assisting with internal audits
- Compiling raw material information to complete finished product export documentation as required
- Monitoring and raising hygiene issues, ensuring work instructions and GMP are followed at all times and reporting to Technical Manager as required
- Undertaking project work to support continued development
