**Foster Carer Recruitment Officer**
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Foster Carer Recruitment Officer to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to support and facilitate the recruitment of new foster carers. You will be responsible for promoting our fostering services, conducting initial home visits, and ensuring timely follow-up with enquirers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and contribute to the growth of our fostering community.
**Main Responsibilities**:
Work closely with foster carers and other stakeholders to coordinate recruitment events, training activities, and campaigns aimed at raising awareness of fostering.
Perform initial home visits to prospective foster carers, assessing their suitability and making recommendations for further assessment.
Collaborate with the Recruitment Coordinator to ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained in the Mosaic system, including timely follow-up on enquiries and referrals for assessment.
Participate in pre-approval training programs for prospective foster carers, contributing to the delivery of informative and engaging sessions.
Adhere to the agreed budgetary framework and ensure proper financial accounting for any expenditure related to recruitment activities.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records, ensuring efficient response to enquiries and provision of regular performance data reports as required.
Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including regular evenings and weekends, to accommodate outreach activities and information sessions for prospective foster carers.
Actively participate in supervision sessions, team meetings, and service meetings to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the recruitment team and overall service provision.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Experience in recruitment, marketing, or related fields
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of foster care services or experience in social care is desirable
- Familiarity with data management systems and reporting tools
- Enhanced DBS
- 5 Year Reference
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6-12 months
**Salary**: £18.27 per hour
