**The Role**

This new position will be a hybrid role of data management and collection, managing and processing online referrals as well as direct client work offering skilled and trauma informed one to one support to a caseload of alcohol clients seeking change.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate collection, recording and reporting of Treatment Outcome Profile also known as TOP. This data will be collected using TOP forms at treatment start and at regular intervals, and uploaded via our local case management system, Illy Links Carepath.

This Data Coordination position will ensure overall service compliance with completed client anonymised data being collected and processed by Substance Misuse Recovery Workers within national time framed periods. This data collection is then submitted to the Drug Treatment Monitoring System known within services as the NDTMS which is crucially linked to funding of Substance Misuse Services across the UK and allows SSJ to keep helping people.

The position will also manage a caseload of service users who have needs around their alcohol use and want to make their lives better. The role will ensure interventions offered to clients represent the client’s own wishes and their recovery plans are centred around their needs following and ongoing process of holistic assessment. You will understand the impact of substance use and alcohol dependency and be skilled to offer an array of suitable and psychologically informed behaviour change interventions.

You will work in a holistic and person-centred approach to support individuals who want to make changes to their lives by investing in professional relationships to help understand people’s needs and understand goals and interventions that are important. Working assertively to engage hard to reach people and clients who are resistant to treatment are important skills and workers often need to be tenacious in their approach. Good risk assessment and management skills are essential, as well as a strong ability to build meaningful and trusting relationships with people. Your work with people will help keep clients safe with underpinning foundations of recovery, change and harm minimisation techniques.

We are ideally looking for someone who is IT proficient with the ability to ensure we are we collecting our TOPS data, being responsive to our online referrals and also providing high quality support to a caseload of clients with a wide range of needs.
- Direct work history of working with people with alcohol or substance misuse issues or transferable skills
- You will be proficient in using Excel spreadsheets and have a robust understanding of client confidentiality and general data protection regulations (GDPR).
- You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills, and able to work to deadlines. Some of the work might involve contacting clients directly by phone and in person.
- You will have some flexibility around working pattern and location of work. This will be agreed and reviewed during contract.
- You will have experience of working with people who have substance misuse needs and have an understanding of mental health, trauma and models and interventions that support people in behaviour change.
- Work well in busy office and service environments.
- Be able top work safely with a caseload of clients and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
