**Are you an accomplished Finance Business Partner with team management experience looking for the next step up?**

**Role summary**:
Due to growth and expansion, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as Head of Finance Business Partnering. In this role, reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Finance Business Partnering service to the business (a team of 10 individuals).

Working as an integral member of our Finance Senior Leadership Team, this role will proactively identify, plan and meet the financial needs of the business in order to drive and improve business performance. Working closely with other members of the wider finance community, the role will positively challenge senior leaders, their budgets and their business activities to ensure our strategic objectives are delivered.

**Skills/Responsibilities**:

- Consolidate, critically review, and provide technical advice and guidance on monthly financial results and forecasts. Present the results to the Head of Finance and CFO.
- Lead the forecasting and budgeting process along with the Head of FP&A, in line with the company’s strategic objectives. Ensuring accurate and timely completion of these and preparation of presentations with key considerations for board.
- Proactively challenge budget holders plans and budget submissions to understand the overall Plan, providing advice and new initiatives to save costs and be more efficient as an organisation.
- Identifying risks, opportunities and efficiencies to minimise the financial and legal impact on the business.
- Provide commercial analysis, driving best value decision making for the business. Set and review key KPI’s and deliverables for the business, highlighting any significant issues and trends wit financial and other business results to aid decision makers to make efficiencies.
- Provide professional recommendations and financial guidance on accounting guidelines and standards to enable the business to be financially and legally compliant.
- Contributing to financial projects and providing solutions to problems the Finance Business Partner team are facing and implementing new processes and systems as appropriate.
- Management of a team of Qualified Senior Finance Business Partners (at least two years PQE), identifying gaps in their skillsets and providing adequate support and training to alleviate these.
- Influence, coach and challenge senior budget holders in the understanding of their results and forecasts against budgets in order for them to manage their business effectively.
- Communicate highly complex financial issues to non-financial managers and persuade managers / negotiate agreement from a range of options which will result in improvements to service delivery.
- Develop, drive and implement investment decisions and new business activities, working collaboratively with budget holders to explore new opportunities and drive business performance.
- To develop and maintain key working relationships with all Senior Management and employees of NHS Professionals, Trusts and relevant external parties in order to provide a professional management accounting service.

**This role will be attached to the closest local office base (London, Leeds or Hemel Hempstead) and will follow a hybrid working pattern (average of 3 days at home and 2 days in the office per week).**

**We'd love to meet someone with**:

- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with 4 years PQE of relevant experience of management accounting in a large and complex organisation
- A proven track record of providing effective financial advice at a senior level with the ability to influence and manage demanding stakeholders
- Confidence to push back and have challenging conversations at times
- Evidence of financial analysis and process development skills.
- Previous experience of using Dynamics AX accounting system.
- Superior communication skills, using verbal and written skills to ensure complex financial issues are understandable and the messages clear to stakeholders.
- Previous experience in working as a Finance Business Partner (FBP) and then having managed a team of qualified FBPs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to think outside the box, work on own initiative and bring forward new ideas
