**Job Introduction**:
As Commercial Content Writer - VPN you will be responsible for the development, delivery, and optimisation of how to watch content across several brands in Bauer’s portfolio. Increasing the exposure, volume, and performance of how to watch content enables the realisation of two currently underdeveloped content opportunities VPN and Subscription TV. VPNs enable people to watch geo blocked content anywhere in the world from anywhere in the world, you will be publishing content to support and enable that capability.

You will be responsible for ensuring that Bauer’s portfolio of sites generates the maximum possible affiliate revenue from its partners, in this category though engaging content that helps and informs the needs of our audience. This involves creating and continually optimising content designed to deliver direct revenue, maximising the audience that sees it and the conversion to a sale.

This is a new editorial opportunity that has the potential to develop into a significant and exciting category within the high performing Content Commerce Team.

Reporting into the Deputy Commercial Content Editor and working closely with the SEO team, you will create and execute plans for affiliate led content on several of Bauer’s brands, including; CAR, Heatworld, Closer, MCN, Today's Golfer, and What’s the Best, plus many others.

**Role Responsibility**:

- Leading the creation and delivery of a how to watch content strategy across all relevant brands
- Working closely with editorial teams to develop how to watch VPN and TV subscription content plans and content for their brands
- Developing, testing, writing, and optimising how to watch content - creating best practice
- Maintaining evergreen content to ensure consistent ranking
- Briefing editorial teams on new content and ensuring that there are quality back links from relevant content to support optimisation targets
- Working closely with the Content Optimisation Team to embed How to Watch content best practice into editorial processes
- Working closely with SEO to develop target keywords
- Working closely with commercial to maximise partner revenues
- Working closely with the Product team to ensure the content template is fully optimised
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - including content creation
- Knowledge and working experience of publishing CMS
- A passion for digital media and affiliate marketing
- An understanding of SEO
- Strong people skills and the bravery to communicate at all levels
- Desirable - experience in using image editing software
- Desirable - a working knowledge of major analytics programs e.g. Google Analytics
