**About the Trust**

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest general hospital foundation trusts in the country.

We provide acute medical and surgical services to Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire and specialist services such as cancer, dialysis, and eye surgery to a wider population across Berkshire and its borders.

The Trust is made up of 7 locations with the Royal Berkshire Hospital being the main site.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Dealing with telephone enquiries
- Dealing with outgoing and incoming mail
- General office duties - filing, photocopying, scanning
- Directing patients and visitors around the site
- You will be responsible for receiving patients and visitors attending outpatient clinics taking ownership of escalated administrative issues where appropriate.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:

- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent IT and keyboard skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Reception experience
- Experience within an NHS administration environment
- Education / Qualifications GSCE (or equivalent) or above in English Language
- Microsoft package knowledge - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
