1. To assist in the provision of Psychological therapy and neuropsychological assessment for people within setting. Including acute adult mental health wards, units and rehabilitation.

2. To provide support to Clinical Psychology staff working with people within the relevant setting.

3. To deliver specific interventions under the management and supervision of the relevant Clinical Psychologist; working independently with an agreed plan and following the framework of policies set out by the Services involved.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

This post is fixed term for 12 months due to - meet the needs of the service.

Under supervision, the post-holders will learn and support psychological therapies developments in line with the stepped care model (Matrics Cymru), specifically supporting qualified mental health staff providing input to women who have moderate to severe mental health problems in the perinatal period. The post will be attached to a qualified clinical psychologists, who will provide supervision and clinical oversight. Knowledge and experience of CBT approaches and group work would be helpful, and there will also be opportunities to learn skills within the post. The posts will also involve supporting service evaluations, audits, and projects. You will be expected to contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and other meetings as appropriate.

To carry out protocol based routine Clinical Psychological assessments with clients, as appropriate and agreed with referrers and clients, under the direction of the Psychologist

To carry out specific, protocol driven intervention procedures, under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologist.

To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological intervention and/or management of a client’s concerns, under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologist.
