Supply Chain Planner

To own the Supply Chain business and planning process(s) and Drive Change across the Bunzl Horizon NDC
- To build and drive compliance around Supply Chain processes
To manage Relex and the forecasting process
To own demand, inventory & budget planning, stock management with a view to maximising sales, turnover and profitability
To take responsibility for the overall cash investment in inventory at the Horizon NDC, and ensure appropriate controls and systems are in place to manage stock levels to maximum efficiency
To own the obsolete / over stock clearance process

Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Act as a change leader to support company initiatives, actively participating in strategic decision making, proactively challenging status quo, presenting alternative approaches, and highlighting potential issues as needed
Own the Integrated Planning system solutions from inception to completion
Critically challenge and build process(s) to continually improve what we do in the Supply Chain space
Provides high levels of customer service by holding the correct stock levels to meet customer demand through great demand planning
Drive inventory optimisation through improved receipt planning, management and improved stock turnover
Partner with the Operations team on capacity and intake planning including container capacity planning
Partner with the category team to develop the inventory strategy, providing data-driven input from historical data customer analytics, market conditions and supplier demands
Create clear visibility and reporting on the performance of Product forecasting and Inventory Management
Contribute to and shape yearly plans to improve business performance through Product Availability
Lead the Supply Chain change agenda
Reporting on and overseeing complete weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual reports

Required Education and Experience
- University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Accounting Engineering or related field
- Language skills - English (required)
- Excellent knowledge of business ERP environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Relex experience highly advantageous
- Excellent understanding of the Integrated Business Planning concept(s), and associated management systems
- Excellent understanding of the E2E supply chain
- Excellent prioritization and influencing skills
- Proven track record in managing and achieving financial targets
- Ability to review and develop financial modelling on new business opportunities
- Ability to evaluate new business opportunities and identify potential risks Customer focused leader who can intelligently balance the demands of the day-to-day and strategic expectations
Preferred Criteria
- University Degree in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years in a senior Inventory role within a large organisation
- Experience of working for a dynamic organization and working across different business units

- Comprehensive inventory planning background
- Acts as a business owner and a change leader
- Acts decisively and engages effectively with key business stakeholders
- Effectively leads Bunzl Ireland Product Availability planning processes and collaborates with the supply chain team to deliver execution excellence
- Ability to resolve complex issues and problem solve effectively, and critically analyse the As-Is to improve the To-Be state
Effectively communicate to all levels demonstrating expertise, professionalism and confidence
