Today, we have wind turbines operating on three continents, America, Europe and Asia and now have the world’s first 13 MW most powerful offshore wind turbine.

The Technical Instructor's primary role will be efficient & effective delivery of hands-on and class room training (Haliade 6MW/Haliade X) to GE Renewable Energy Offshore Wind field technicians and Sub-Contractor, as well as field engineers and Operations Manager from our customers at our Doggerbank Site in Able Seaton.

The instructor will be focusing on local onsite trainings within Europe and beyond. UK based Instructor role with the capability to deliver high-end technical training.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- UK based Instructor with the capability to deliver high-end technical training.
- Conduct domestic and international training classes at facility for internal GE and/or external customer field technicians
- Conduct onsite trainings at customer sites
- Update existing training material to conform to product and global Services standards
- Conduct hands-on sessions to reinforce classroom theory
- Support services training initiatives and projects
- Interaction with suppliers of components to organize trainings in case the training is in supplier scope
- Participate as an active member of the Learning Organization in defining and implementing new programs that support our goal of being the World's Best Services team
- Build strong working relationships with NPI, Manufacturing, Engineering, Projects and Services Teams to gain product knowledge and insight to successfully support all training demand

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or college or equivalent qualification
- Experience on construction or service sites / projects in Offshore Industry ( Wind or Oil )
- Technical English mandatory
- Ability and willingness to climb Wind Turbines as needed as part of field support assignments
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% Domestic / International / offshore
- Independent, Self-motivated

**Desired Characteristics/Experience**:

- Electrician with years of experience as a commissioner or troubleshooter - preferably in wind.
- Willing to Travel within Europe & North America
- Outstanding verbal communication skills and ability to comfortably address large audiences
- General technical Wind turbine experience
- Further language skills like French or German favorable
- Strong computer software aptitude & interest, with an ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently
