Assistant Greenkeeper

Sweetwoods Golf Club are seeking to recruit an Assistant Greenkeeper to join our team and aid in taking the club to an even higher level of quality and presentation. This full time position is based on a 40 hour week, with working hours dependant on the seasons and weekend work carried out on a rota basis, 1 in 2.

Sweetwoods Golf Club is a forward thinking, ambitious and friendly Club founded in 1994. The Club has recently heavily invested in a new driving range and we are continuing to invest in new machinery and with future plans to include an extensive drainage programme. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Sussex and Kent borders, with exceptional views over the village of Cowden.

The applicant will ideally have:
A minimum of 2 years or more experience in greenkeeping and machine operations.

NVQ Level 2 or working towards

Chainsaw certificates desirable but not essential

Be fit, hard working, punctual, and have a positive can do attitude with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work as part of the team and on your own

Ability to operate golf course machinery safely and to a high standard

Have a good understanding of Health and Safety practices

A good sense of humour.

This is a full time position with some weekend working on a rota basis. 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays. Pension after qualifying period.
