My client is looking for an experienced Africa Sales Specialist to join their expanding team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in a similar position and has travelled extensively in Africa.

**The role**:

- Own the sales pipeline, working towards monthly sales KPIs.
- Manage all inbound enquiries, build relationships with new prospects, and work with our international partners to design the right trip for them.
- Delight our customers by being proactive, anticipating questions before they become questions. Prepare and present itineraries, explaining the choices made and how the trip aligns with their dreams, budget, and appetite for adventure.
- You understand deeply the importance of NPS to the future success and place customer NPS at the heart of everything you do.
- Add value to every customer's booking journey by providing useful and insightful information on their trip, the destination, and our partners, preparing them for an adventure of a lifetime.
- Work with the founding team to identify and implement operational improvements throughout the sales and post-booking process, as well as new product and marketing opportunities.

**The Person**:

- Hugely passionate about East Africa.
- You are a 'people person' with a natural ability to build relationships and communicate effectively. You know how to inspire and enthuse customers, collaborate with our East African partners, and gel within a tight-knit team.
- You are a fantastic communicator. Building rapport comes easy to you.
- You have an extremely high attention to detail. You'll be responsible for ensuring our customers have everything they need for their (often complex) adventures across East Africa.
- You have a desire to take ownership of a fundamental area of our business, and a 'can-do' attitude to get stuck in and figure things out.
- Excellent written English. Excellent written communication skills generally.
- A natural sense of order & structure, ability to prioritise in busy times.
- This is a fully remote role. You must be able to work independently without close supervision, and be a self-starter.
- A desire to help visitors understand Africa and provide a positive impact both environmentally and socially to our destinations
- Creative and ambitious, you'll be an early hire and have the opportunity to shape the future
- Comfortable working in a start up environment where you'll need to help develop the systems and infrastructure.
- You're excited about getting in on the ground floor of a small travel company with tremendous potential.
- At least 3 years working in a sales role within African tourism, with specific experience selling East Africa. We appreciate you might know some destinations better than others, but solid product knowledge of at least Tanzania and Kenya is essential.
- Spent time in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, or Ethiopia.
- Previous experience working with CRM systems.
- Proactive, self-motivated, organised and disciplined. Excellent ability to prioritise effectively and seek help when needed.
- The ability to maintain a calm demeanour when things change or don't go as planned. To be able to stay calm and support customers through incidents, and emergency situations.
- Computer-literate, ideally with experience of Google Sheets, Google Docs and Gmail. Previous experience of working on CRM systems.
- Impeccable client facing skills, particularly by phone to an international clientele

**The Package**:

- Salary - £30,000
- Commission included
- Monday - Friday 9am-6pm
