**Key Responsibilities**:The role of **Specialist Support Worker** is fundamental to The Salvation Army’s desire to help vulnerable clients achieve positive outcomes and as such you will be passionate, target driven, dynamic demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of services for vulnerable clients in a competitive climate You will also champion excellence in terms of ensuring our clients are central to our services and successful individual outcomes are achieved.

As a **Specialist Support Worker, **you will provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of trafficking including sexual exploitation, domestic servitude or forced labour and other forms of modern slavery. Delivering a service to those at highest risk as well as working within a multi-agency framework working with the Home Office, police, legal representatives, medical practitioners, local authority and housing.
- extensive experience working within a supported outreach environment
- a Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towards it
- an understanding of legislation relating to Health and Safety and safeguarding of clients and staff
- an ability to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army
- experience of working with vulnerable clients in programme area associated with the specialism
- that they can conduct risk assessments, devise Person Centred Support Plans and facilitation methods to promote client engagement and successful outcomes
- that they can deliver a client focussed service which undertakes holistic support needs, risk assessments and identifies appropriate support
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ability to successfully work independently and within a team

The successful applicant must also hold a full UK driving licence and have their own car that they can use for work.
