Job 1 - 26.25 hours per week (based at Langbaurgh House, Guisborough)

Job 2 - 37.5 hours per week (based at Langbaurgh House, Guisborough and The James Cook University Hospital)

An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Dietitian Assistants to join our friendly and dynamic team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. These posts will be based at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and our community site at Langbaurgh House, Guisborough ( see above).

Key aspects of this role include assessing the nutritional needs of non-complex patients with a range of medical conditions, devising programmes of dietetic care under dietetic supervision, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of dietary intervention and providing regular feedback to the supervising dietitian. This post is ideal for a person with experience of working in a healthcare environment with an interest in nutrition. You will be given supervision and support from experienced Dietitians to enable you to develop your skills.

This post offers exciting opportunities for continued development in a well-established service, streamlining care for patients receiving nutritional support. It is vital that you have the ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of professionals working across the health and social care economy.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
