**As a result, we are looking to expand our operations team with a Technical Buyer. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work in an engineering environment in the hydrogen production sector. **About CPH2**:
Clean Power Hydrogen plc (CPH2) is a leading developer of Membrane-Free Electrolysers designed to produce green hydrogen and pure oxygen in a simple, safe, sustainable manner and at any scale. Dr. Nigel Williamson and Joe Scott established CPH2 (Ireland) in December 2012 with the ambition to help clean up the environment for our children and future generations. Entering the green technology sector, a high growth, and profitable market, they developed a Membrane-Free Electrolyser to produce hydrogen faster, more reliably, and more cost-effectively than PEM technology, which has barriers to adoption, including cost, reliability, and scalability.

**About the role**:
As **Technical Buyer** you will report to Procurement Manager. To succeed, you will need to demonstrate “can-do” attitude, have excellent communication skills as well as technical knowledge, be adept in interpreting technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings. Working closely with different business departments, the role is supporting strategic and business critical projects. Please note this role involves some travelling to meet with suppliers nationally and internationally.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Supporting procurement activities, including supplier selection, and the purchase of goods and services.
- Supporting the development and implementation of effective procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Interpret technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with procurement objectives.
- Conduct research on potential suppliers to ensure their quality, reliability, and ability to meet our requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives and project timelines.
- Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure they meet our expectations in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
- Develop strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Lead vendor initial qualification through the First Article Process, ensuring vendor products meet legislative, customer, and CPH2 Engineering requirements.

**Key skills and experience required**:

- 5+ years of experience in technical buying or similar role.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A “Can-do" attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations.
- Experience working with ERP systems and other procurement tools.

**Desirable skills**:

- Process/chemical or mechanical engineering background preferred,
- Electrical knowledge is beneficial.

**Start Date**:
As soon as possible.

**Salary**:
Salary range is £40 - £45k and will be negotiated depending on qualifications, experience, and skills. Please include a cover letter with salary expectation.
