London, United Kingdom British Red Cross Full time

**Head of Talent Growth**
**Location: UK Flexible (hybrid role working between home and office)**
**Contract type: Permanent**
**Hours per week: 35**
**Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum (plus £3,344 Inner London Weighting allowance if applicable)**
**Can you support our key causes, attracting and retaining talent across all levels of the organisation, using innovative and truly agile methods to ensure that we always have the right people in the right place at the right time?**
**About this opportunity**

Reporting to the Senior Director of People, you will work in partnership with the People Business Partner community and Volunteer Mobilisation to collate their strategic workforce plans to create a proactive identification of gaps and opportunities, move talent around internally, and develop external talent pools for relevant locations and skill types. This role will be highly insights-driven: analysing, forecasting and fulfilling demand in a way that allows for scaling rapidly during surge periods.

You will be responsible for developing an assignment culture within British Red Cross, which will be a new way of working and will require a strong change management approach and ability to continuously improve and iterate with feedback from the organisation. Stakeholders will include senior leadership, People Business Partners, the Staff Association, operational managers, Volunteer Mobilisation and the Shared Service Centre.

You will use assignments to reduce the use of fixed term contracts and increase our ability to attract and develop talent, and a full suite of appropriate development packages will be required to enable swift mobility between roles so an in-depth understanding of, and a close partnership with, Learning & Development will be critical.

**Diversity is something we celebrate**
At the British Red Cross, we are looking for the best people to help us provide support to millions of people affected by crisis in the UK. We want our team to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, offering equal opportunities to everyone, regardless of; age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

**This role might be for you if**
You have leadership experience in an operations or people-related discipline, leading HR initiatives and projects that require broad collaboration in a large, complex organisation, along with excellent knowledge of HR systems and extensive experience in talent attraction, retention and /or development.

You can demonstrate project management methodologies and approaches along with change management experience, driving people change with highly operational and / or mobile workforces and have led, supervised and developed new ways of working.

You are able to demonstrate excellent people management skills, leading and engaging, with the ability to excite and motivate people, along with having true diversity of thought in your approach and evidencing flexible thinking and adaptability.

You have experience in either resourcing strategies, employer branding or workforce management and can demonstrate an understanding of all three and can evidence your continuous improvement mindset while providing analysis and insight.
