**Project Manager**:

- Spider is advertising on behalf of a Trust who are currently recruiting a **Project Manager**for their Growing Heritage and restoration project to be based in Brightlingsea, near Colchester, Essex.

The Trust is widely recognised for its leadership within the heritage sector including the restoration of historic vessels and delivering programmes that leverage maritime and heritage to engage and benefit communities_. _Over 20 years, The Trust has successfully delivered multiple heritage boat restorations, together with successful sustainable operational models. Our programme portfolio includes skills training, apprenticeships, sail training, and community engagementthat reach a wide and diverse audience. Through further partnerships, we will reach and connect with more people in the community, from the disadvantaged to the elderly, to make a lasting positive difference to their lives.

**About the Project Manager role**:
**Submissions should be no longer than 8 pages and should include**:

- Details of consultant(s) skills and experience relevant to this brief
- 2 case studies of project management work, ideally demonstrating work on National Lottery Heritage Fund or other funded projects
- Methodology as to how you will meet the brief
- Project plan/timetable which breaks this work down and identifies key milestones
- Fee proposal to include clear breakdown of day rate and time allocated for this project

The **Project Manager** will work closely with the Director of Operations and key members of the board of trustees. You will be required to implement and complete the following activities:

- Develop a consultation plan which establishes how the full project can incorporate as wide a diversity of community sectors and interested parties as is possible.
- Development of an 'activity plan’ which will detail how the proposed project will engage with the local community and use different media for reaching them. This will be based on the outcomes of the consultation activities outlined above.
- Produce a detailed 'project plan’ which sets out all the activities required together with the relationship between interdependent activities. The plan should also allocate resource requirements and associated timescales and include full project costs,budgets, cashflow and a fundraising strategy. The finished plan will act as a handbook for the complete project when implemented.
- The consultant will report to the Director of operations of the Pioneer Sailing Trust and will be assisted by relevant members of the Pioneer Sailing Trust team.

As the **Project Manager** it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate prior experience and competence in the following areas:

- Demonstrate that they have project management experience and can produce planning documentation to a high standard
- Demonstrate that they have experience of working within a heritage field and are experienced in developing NLHF round 2 grant submission.
- Experience of developing project budgets, cashflow and fundraising strategies
- Experience of working in complex networks of organisations and developing partnerships with a range of organisations

On offer a day rate from £400 - £450 per day. Interviews will be held on Friday 13th January with an anticipated start date of 30th January 2023.
