**Coffee Shop Assistant**

**35 hours a week working 5 days out of 7. To include days, evenings and weekends**

We are seeking a friendly, customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Coffee Shop Assistant. As a coffee shop assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience and maintaining a clean and organised coffee shop environment. You must have excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to our success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt service
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the coffee shop, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed
- Stock and replenish products, supplies, and condiments as needed
- Assist with food preparation, such as assembling sandwiches or hot food
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate issues when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales targets

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy object
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
