We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic MIS specialist to join our highly motivated, friendly team of experts. We support the full SIMS suite of software including management, curriculum and finance modules and also Arbor.

**About the Job**

The team provides professional, in-depth technical and software support to school staff at all levels using our telephone service desk, remote access, scheduled training, and our bespoke training and consultancy services. This includes support in the use of the finance management system (FMS), managing pupil data, personnel, end of year procedures, reporting, assessment, data analysis and attendance. It also includes support for the secondary modules e.g. Exams, Post 16, Course Manager, Nova T6, Cover and Academic Management.

Our end-to-end support for the statutory school census and school workforce census includes clear guidance, overviews, user workshops and support for COLLECT.

In the team structure there are five staff members covering the MIS Support Officer role and each has their own specific lead module/area of responsibility. All team members contribute to delivering the service escalating issues and queries to the lead specialist when required.

You will need to have access to a car and may be required to work occasionally in the London Borough of Bexley or other LA, to provide training or site visits.

**About You**

Excited to work in a fast paced environment researching, developing and implementing new MIS initiatives to improve performance and efficiency in schools, especially the next generation of ‘cloud’ based software.

Committed to delivering excellent customer service with a pro-active ‘can do’ approach to meet current and future needs.

A highly proficiency user of ICT with experience of working with various software and enthusiasm to learn and develop new systems.

Self-motivated and organised, responsible for managing own workload to prioritise to meet deadlines

A team player, willing to share knowledge, work collaboratively and support colleagues

**Will have**:
Excellent communication and influencing skills, together with experience of working in schools or a customer service environment.

Experience of working in a finance background, and in-depth knowledge of using FMS would be a definite advantage

Knowledge of pupil assessment and recording would also be an advantage

English and maths at GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) is essential.
