**About us**: Porchlight is a charity supporting people who are homeless, vulnerable and isolated. Our vision is a fairer society where everybody has a safe place to call home and the chance to make a positive contribution.

We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to work within the RISE team at Thanet District Council and Porchlight’s community team. This exciting, new role will involve bringing together and highlighting all provisions that are available to vulnerable people across Thanet.

**The role will involve -**
- Developing an all-Thanet Services Network and establish connections to local resources / businesses / statutory providers and non-statutory sectors.
- Coordinating how these services can be utilized and developed to support those who are or have been supported by the Rough Sleeping initiative partnership.
- Mapping services and identifying gaps will form part of the role and will bring people together to create new initiatives and ensuring services are responding to the needs of the community.
- Listening and responding to the needs/aspirations/interests of the clients.
- Encouraging clients to actively participate and engage with activities and their local community.

**What you need**:

- Self-motivated and adaptable; able to work independently and with varying levels of pressure.
- Good organisational and prioritising skills
- A good level of computer literacy
- A flexible approach to working times and pattern - ability to adapt to the needs of the people we are supporting.
- An ability to initiate and maintain constructive relationships with individuals, colleagues, and other professionals from a wide variety of cultural and social backgrounds to achieve effective outcomes.
- Solutions and outcomes focused.
- Any qualifications within a relevant field would be beneficial but not essential.
- A sound understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services that are responsive to their needs.
