Quality Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Quality team.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the highest quality standards are achieved across the site. Quality Co-Ordinator's manage all quality related activities on site, from preventive actions to reactive quality assurance using techniques such as Fishbone diagram, 5 Y's etc.
Quality coordinator's work on compliance against the Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards and customer standards and are required to understand the manufacturing processes, from raw material to finished product and challenge the process and highlight potential improvements.
As part of the team you will
- Plan and perform internal audits on an ongoing basis
- Assist in third party audits and customer visits
- Promote continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
- Monitor quality systems and initiate appropriate actions to meet standards to gain accreditation for BRC. Be familiar with up to date BRC standards.
- Develop company HACCP, organise HACCP meetings, coordinate the team
- The administration of Standard Operating Procedures and Forms, the coordination of the review and update of SOP’s using Microsoft Office Programs
- Complete Root Cause Analyses, and Rapid Problem Solving
- Maintain approved label samples and production label records ensuring these are up to date and any discrepancies communicated. Approve new labels.
- Maintain “Daily blend log” - update/set up a specification for existing and new products
- Create/ Update Quality Assurance Specification for customers
- Visit and update customer's website.
- Manage external testing of finished products when required, Prepare Pre-listing reports
- Generate Certificate of Analysis for finished goods
- Manage sample requests
- a collection of first production samples, tender samples, brands bank samples, good housekeeping samples, etc.
- Provide support to production, mixing, and warehouse in any occurring quality issues
- Complete Traceability Exercise
- Create Standard Work Procedures to improve quality processes, train SOP, create quality alerts
- Manage sharp control
- Review risk assessment, create new ones
- Manage sample requests
- collection of first production samples, tender samples, brands bank samples, good housekeeping samples etc.
- Administrative tasks, control over quality related documentation
- Investigate customer complaints from retailers, or direct customers
