Rate: £19-21ph umbrella - 36hr week

Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in East London for a Payroll Pensions Officer on a temporary basis.

Main Responsibilities:

- To provide support to the Payroll Pensions Liaisons Officer and the payroll team, ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders receive an effective, efficient service in regard to payroll pension administration.
- The post holder will be expected to provide a high level of support on general payroll related pension issues and will be expected to be flexible and able to adapt to a wide range of projects and deadlines.
- Provide a customer focussed service to every customer whether internal or external and ensure that issues are resolved on the first occasion wherever possible.
- To process all payroll and pensions related forms using the payroll system iTrent and adhere to the processing deadlines
- Assist in checking the outputs from MHRs Pensions Data Service portal to balance against the monthly payroll outputs from iTrent.
- Experience of payroll and pensions within a Local Authority/Government
- Proven up-to-date knowledge of LGPS pensions processes and principles
- Experience of providing advice and support to managers and employees on all payroll pension matters
- Great communication skills with the ability to work on own initiative and as well as part of a team
