Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a part-time 12 month FTC basis.

Duties include:

- Process weekly payroll ensuring that weekly processing deadlines are always adhered to
- Calculate SSP and average holiday pay for the weekly payroll
- Process monthly payroll in the absence of the Head of HR
- Communicate accurate information to payroll providers on a monthly basis
- Administer the NEST pension scheme for the weekly payroll
- Working with the Head of HR, complete year end payroll processes, including issuing P60's and P11d's
- Recording hours to pass onto the accountants
- Collate information and send of finance

Essential requirements:

- At least 2 years people management experience, either in a retail HR or store management position
- Works to understand communication styles and preferences of key stakeholders, using this understanding to influence decision making processes where necessary
- Operates with a commercial approach to HR and a solid awareness of how own actions will be perceived and received by the wider business
- We are a small, informal team and the successful applicant will be great at building and maintaining working relationships with a balance between an informal and professional approach
- Approachable and trustworthy
- High levels of attention to detail
- Personable and great relationship builder
