**Logistics Controller**

We are working with an established manufacturing company in Sandwich to resource for a Logistics Controller for their supply chain team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing,kitting and delivering items. You will have responsibility for the stores and the teams, with control of the inventory security and ILS activity for spares and repairs.

**The role**
- Ensure that the store is staffed to meet outputs
- Control material, consumables and inventory of spares and associated materials
- Identify and implement continuous improvement activities and resolve issues when identified.
- Ensure that received items are booked in and located correctly within the agreed timeframe.
- Ensure that items are kitted for production in line with the production schedule
- Ensure the despatch process is followed and items are packaged appropriately and despatched in a timely manner
- Ensure that inventory is managed using FIFO
- Use appropriate commodity management methods such as Kanban.
- Carry out a perpetual stock take investigating and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Maintain warehousing through best utilisation of space to maximise its efficiency
- Ensure that vehicles, plant and equipment are maintained and available for use at all times.
