Cargo Targeting Industry Specialist - SITA At Borders

Targeting of goods and trade flows for security purposes

SITA is seeking a Trade/Customs domain expert with experience in the risk assessment and clearance of good (cargo, freight and/or post) for our Cargo Targeting innovation program.

You should have a strong background in customs policies, procedures, systems and data, while having the capability to lead a new business area considering the market and competitive landscape, partnerships and commercial approaches to bring this business to life.

As a Cargo Targeting Industry Specialist, you will oversee the innovation and product strategy, planning, direction and design choices used to meet the business requirements of SITA customers. This includes influencing potential customers at early stages, providing guidance, support and advice in developing business cases and proposals, and overseeing implementation and deployment for any new or existing customer solutions.

Reporting to the Head of Product Portfolio for SITA at Borders, you will be a part of the Border Management business - the business within SITA tasked with making national borders frictionless, yet safe and secure.

Qualifications:
**What You Will Do**
- Maintain and execute strategy for SITA to enter this market in a time horizon to 2026
- Own the business plan for a cargo targeting portfolio area within SITA AT Borders
- Market analysis and positioning for SITA in border management with respect to trade and goods market segment and integrated solutions with people to provide combined goods and people targeting
- Develop pipeline and realise opportunities for proof or concepts, trials and revenue generating work with targeted customers
- Lead the assigned cross-functional product team to iteratively develop the product offering in line with the business plan and taking advantage of emerging customer projects
- Develop Partner / Industry relationships, demonstrating SITA’s thought leadership and shaping prospects
- Obtain relevant investment approvals from the Innovation Board to create this product area and create the appropriate team
- Maintain allocated sales plan, priorities, and targets, focusing geographically dispersed sales teams in support of growth
- Identify new business and customer growth opportunities and develop with the GEOs
- Contribute to updates and review of competitive intelligence database related to cargo targeting domain
- Take project lead for allocated market awareness platforms, such as trade exhibitions, representing SITA as a speaker or in other engagements
- Position Borders in our chosen markets and promote SITA in relevant MARCOMMS platforms

**Who You Are**
- 3+ years experience with Government customs and related agencies and stakeholders developing and working with trade/goods risk assessment systems
- Understanding of market requirements particularly in the customs targeting domain
- Knowledge of policies, regulations and a variety of implementations of customs data provision to Governments and other official bodies
- Knowledge of Innovation Management, Engineering / Technology Maturity, Business Approval and other solution development and approval methodologies
- Confidence and strong presentation skills to be able to evangelise products and solutions to customers and audiences
- Able to operate within and lead virtual teams
- Degree level or equivalent in a technical, business or marketing discipline
- Knowledge and experience working with digital identity systems creation, verification and authorization systems and standards would be desirable
