**About Us**:
**Role Overview**:
The **Young People at Risk (YPAR)** project provides small-scale accommodation outside of Lambeth for young people at risk of serious youth violence, with a maximum length of stay of twelve months. It is commissioned by London Borough of Lambeth for young males who are 16-17-years old.

As **Senior Young People Support Worker**, you will work within a multi-agency team of other charities in the same accommodation (which will be based in **Havering**) to provide support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to move forward from lifestyles which were impacted by gangs and exploitation, and help them reach their full potential by identifying and reaching their aspirations, assisting them to move on successfully to appropriate independent living.

As a member of a multi-agency team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and safe management of the service on a day to day basis; including the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers, visitors and staff in the service.

You will also provide leadership to the team and ensure that the service supports clients to sustain their tenancy agreement, develop skills and resilience, and participate in positive and successful move on.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times including ensuring that Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures are followed as laid out in Depaul’s Policy and Procedures
- Deliver one-to one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with.
- Proactively partner with consortium colleagues, Lambeth and local agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing of Depaul clients in accordance with data protection and information sharing protocols.

**What We Are Looking For - Person Specification**:

- An understanding and commitment to working in an assets-based way.
- Good level of experience of working with people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or have a history of living in care.
- Relevant life experience is desirable
- Experience of using Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
- Good level of experience of operating safeguarding requirements and procedures.
