World Leader in Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the development and manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The site has been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System as well as exciting developments in the Libre family including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and the Libre Sense system. To support our business through an ongoing time of growth, our HR function have an exciting opportunity for a HR and ER Advisor to join the team. In this role you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive Human Resources service to client groups ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, practices and employment law, and support the development and implementation of HR strategy/vision for our Diabetes Care site.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee related issues such as disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability & absence related issues whilst ensuring adherence to related policies.
- Participating where appropriate in investigations/hearings.
Drive short/medium/long term organisational change within client areas from a HR perspective, acting as a key player in providing expertise from planning stage through to successful implementation and beyond.
- Deal with employee related matters such as health, benefits, remuneration and employee relations issues, ensuring any relevant documentation is prepared and processed in a timely and effective manner.
To be successful, you will ideally be MCIPD qualified, however those with Assoc. level are also encouraged to apply. Ideally you will come from a HR Advisor/Generalist background, and be looking for that next step as a Business Partner. You will be fully updated with legal matters, particularly any changes in employment legislation, and champion personal CPD. You’ll be joining a vibrant and fast paced team, and thus comfortable engaging with peers and stakeholders, and when needed, challenging the status quo. Experience in a complex/large manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
