Purchasing Assistant

Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a
**Purchase Assistant** who will be primarily responsible for assisting in procurement of all materials for various material testing laboratories consisting chemistry, metallurgy, environment, civil, special testing.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting in procurement of all materials for all the various material testing laboratories
- Supporting other Element laboratories regionally with competitive sources and vendors
- Assisting in vendor development
- Assisting in management of logístical functions
- Cross functional coordination with other departments and outside business communities
- Assisting in liquidation of non-moving and non-saleable materials
- Assist in assessing the price trends for different class materials
Skills / Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in purchase, vendor management and invoiving
- High level of integrity
- Proficient with ERP / ORACLE solutions
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to be a part of multicultural multinational team
- Excel skills required
