School Lunchtime Servery Assistant

**10 hours per week - Term Time Only (12:00pm -2:00pm)**

**Responsibilities**:
1. Set up the serving and dining areas as instructed by the Chef Manager.

2. Serve food to students and staff while providing helpful service at all times.

3. Collaborate with the team to ensure all service requirements are fulfilled.

4. Prepare and serve refreshments for special functions; clean and sanitize cutlery, crockery, and serving items after events.

5. Monitor food temperatures and appropriately label stock items according to procedures.

6. Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and relevant legislation while carrying out duties.

7. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of equipment, serving counters, and dining hall continuously.

8. Perform washing up and cleaning tasks, including cleaning equipment and machinery.

9. Participate in deep cleaning activities for the kitchen, food storage, serving, and dining areas as directed by the Chef Manager.

Qualification Criteria:
1. Right to work in the UK.

2. Possession of relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene qualifications.

3. A good standard of basic literacy and numeracy qualifications (Essential).

**Experience**:
1. Preferable experience in catering.

2. Preferred experience of working with children.

1. Hardworking, conscientious, and organized.

2. Excellent team player, displaying helpfulness, friendliness, and readiness to take on additional tasks as needed.

3. Acts as a good role model for both students and staff, with high expectations for oneself and others.

4. Genuine interest in and willingness to assist children in learning how to eat healthily.

Other Responsibilities:
1. Operate the cashless till as needed.

2. Undertake Fire Marshal duties and First Aid responsibilities as required.

3. Maintain flexibility to support academy events such as the Summer Fair.

4. Attend Academy Inset days for relevant training, typically from 8am to 4pm.

5. Demonstrate commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.

6. Fulfill various other responsibilities as directed by the Executive Principal or Vice Principal - Business & Community.

**Salary**: £5,790.00-£5,832.00 per year
