A vacancy has arisen within Sefton for a Careers Advisor to join our NEET Reduction and Early Intervention Service and Our Education and Business Team (working with schools).

This exciting opportunity will be split 50/50 across the teams (NR & EIS supporting young people Not in Education, Employment or Training or at Risk of NEET).

Working in Sefton with a caseload of vulnerable young people, you will be providing bespoke IAG support and information, this may include a caseload of SEN children, depending on your experience.

There is an increasing demand for activities relating to:

- Raising aspirations
- Building confidence/resilience
- Employability, and the world of work - these will be included in the Careers Adviser role in line with commissioning requirements.
- Including supporting transition
- Multi-agency working
- Career planning and assessment for NEET and Vulnerable Young People with complex needs, Children in Care/Care Experienced Young People, Young Offenders, young people with Special Educational Needs and the potential to attend annual reviews for young people with EHCplans.

The work will include the delivery of Careers Information, Advice and Guidance activities in schools/colleges to include one to one guidance Interviews and aspirational/motivational group work (both programme style and individual sessions).

Flexibility and adaptability is a requirement for this role as you will be expected to deliver across a number of schools/colleges to support the requirements of contracts and funded projects.
