**Summary**
- We have a great opportunity for someone who is looking to make a difference. Come and join Climate Group as a Membership Officer. You will get the chance to work on important campaigns, initially focusing on the EV100 & EV100+ initiatives which drive the transition to electric vehicles.
The key aspect of the role will be managing the ongoing engagement and service provision for the growing network of international member companies, as well as the continued recruitment of additional companies to join the network.
The Membership Officer will work closely with the Membership Manager and other team members to continuously grow our network and invite new companies to join, as well as manage the ongoing engagement of member companies in our work and deliver key activities such as events, webinar series and our annual progress report.

We are looking for a dynamic Membership Officer to continuously grow our membership network, offer strong value to our members and make our growing body of work as impactful as possible. The role will drive our recruitment activities and manage the ongoing relationships with our international network of companies and deliver key member activities.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Develop our pipeline of recruitment targets, identifying relevant companies to invite into our network
- Manage the outreach and ongoing recruitment conversation with companies including preparatory research, initial contact-making, setting up of introductory conversations, systematic follow up and overall progress tracking
- Acting as the go-to contact for, and build close working relationships with, our international members
- Managing the outreach to members and their ongoing involvement in activities such as events, webinars, profiling opportunities and policy advocacy work
- Providing regular updates to members via our monthly member bulletin and bi-annual member update webinars
- Managing our best practice sharing activities for members
- Project managing key deliverables such as events and our annual Progress and Insights report
- Managing relationships with external partners and networks
- Contributing to Climate Groups cross-team working groups on relevant topics (e.g., member engagement) to align strategies and facilitate exchange and learning across the organisation

**Essential**:

- Commitment to the mission and goals of Climate Group
- Strong self-organisation skills with the ability to deliver multiple activities simultaneously and to deadline
- Experience supporting project management, or experience utilising project management skills
- Strong relationship building skills to develop close working relationships with prospect companies, members and partners
- Perseverance and patience to build conversations and projects systematically over time
- Good team worker and ability to coordinate effectively with multiple colleagues and partners across a range of cultural contexts
- Proactive with the ability to work independently to deliver tasks and achieve project objectives
- A strong desire and ability to develop skills and experience in line with the needs of a rapidly developing campaign
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

**Desirable**:

- Commitment to the goal of accelerating transport electrification
- Existing background on electromobility, climate / sustainability agenda or related fields
- Strong writing skills
- Understanding of how environmental campaigns create change
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders

Youll be based in our London head office near Tower Bridge (SE1 2NQ), a 12-minute walk from London Bridge station and enjoy the benefits of flexible and hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
