Coffee Roaster Assistant

We are a speciality coffee roasting company based in Croydon (CR0 4RU). Looking for someone with a real passion for speciality coffee and at least 2 years of experience as a barista in a speciality cafe.

Being a new growing business, we have a small team where your input will be greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: Regular heavy lifting is involved in this role. Coffee sacks weight 60-70Kg each

COFFEE ROASTER ASSISTANT Full-time position available from early January, to work along side our coffee roaster, dealing with processing & packing orders, assisting the preparation of the roasting, dealing with customer enquiries and general coffee related duties. The role is fun and dynamic and also involves visiting wholesale clients and run barista trainings for their team.

Working hours: Full time job (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm). 28 days annual leave per annum, including bank holidays.

Pay: Between £22k and £25k, depending on skills and professional experience. Plus additional staff benefits, including unlimited amazing coffee to drink : )

Key responsibilities: Assisting roasting and production, Organization and cleaning of workspace, Maintenance of production equipment, Quality control of coffee packing, Grinding and packing of roasted coffee, Webshop fulfilment of coffee orders, Understanding and assisting with all aspects of green bean and production quality control, Daily data recording and reporting, Performing barista training on hospitality sites, Social Media marketing.

Desirable Skills & Qualities: A real passion for coffee, Previous experience as a barista in specialty coffee shops for at least 2 years, Organised and detail oriented, Previous experience as coffee roaster, Excellent communication skills, Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Social Media and photo shooting skills.

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
