**Duties**:

- Match purchase invoices to purchase orders, ensuring items have been booked in to stock. Post approval by Management Accountant, posting of purchase invoices into the accountancy software.
- Assist the Management Accountant with maintenance of all financial records, by posting transactions into the accounting system
- Daily bank reconciliation to maintain and ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Responsible for processing sales invoices after delivery notes are issued.
- Review customer returns and issue credit notes if needed.
- Create new customer and supplier accounts on the accounting system.
- **Essential**:

- AAT level 3 / 4.
- Working knowledge of general accounting procedures and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage or Intact IQ.
- Strong communication skills, able to interact with all levels of internal/external contacts
- Ability to prioritise workload, remain composed and level-headed during periods of particularly busy activity, and being proactive in helping other members of the team.
- Good Microsoft package skills, particularly Excel, and the ability to pick up new systems and tools quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in work product.
- The desire to learn and a willingness to take on challenges.
- **Behavioral**:

- Good interpersonal skills.
- Flexible with a “can do” attitude.
- Confidential with integrity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping/Accounts Assistant: 3 years (required)

Work Location: In person
