Accounts Assistant

The accounts assistant role involves primarily supporting the finance manager with a variety of account responsibilities such as filing and completing invoices, reconciling company accounts and chasing external due payments. The accounts assistant are expectedto maintain the business's financial procedures, updating and implementing when necessary.

The client we are currently working with are a national scale manufacturer working cooperatively with numerous companies across the country delivering and supplying large scale sourced products.
**Description**
Key responsibilities of an accounts assistant include:
- Invoice processing
- Processing expense requests
- Credit control
- Cash book maintenance
- Matching of Freight and Maintenance invoices against relevant costs in RAM
- Maintaining the company purchase and sales ledgers
- Liaising with various departments
- Accurate and timely fortnightly payment runs of multi-currencies
- Banks reconciliation
- Raising sales invoices
- Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
- Basic administration
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
**Profile**
- Capable of organising large numerical figures.
- Experienced within the accounting background.
- Experience in an Accounts Payable environment.
- Able to work as part of a team and take direction accurately.
- Analytically adept and able problem solver.
- Competent in terms of computer and system software relating (Sap, spreadsheets, excel).
- Accurate to a high level when recording and inputting data.
- Extremely organised in regards to working cooperatively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Dynamic and proactive.
