**Ciphr has a new opportunity for a Head of Delivery, responsible for leading an agile delivery team to design, develop, and deliver innovative products and solutions for our customers and provide technology support services. You will be joining an organisation where you will work with a team that is goal driven and people focused.**

**Location**:
The role is remote within the UK but will require occasional travel for meetings.

**The role will involve**:

- Providing leadership to the delivery team and guiding them in developing technical solutions that meet business objectives.
- Ensuring the development and support aspects of the team work together in harmony to ensure the most effectiveness response to customers, efficient use of time, and continuous improvement within our product quality.
- Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Confirming we deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards, through regular increments of value within our agile processes.
- Working with cross-functional teams, including product management, to gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure that they are delivered as regular product increments.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Managing the hiring and development of the engineering

**And we would like you to have the following skills**:

- A strong understanding of agile software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and deliver regularly, on-time, and within budget.
- Experience in developing delivery and engineering talent.
- Strong customer focus, including linking work items to problems to solve, and linking customer satisfaction plus reduction of overheads to product quality and technical support.

**What success looks like in this role**:

- Successfully deliver engineering work on time, in regular small increments, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Successfully deliver support services, and continuous improvements in product quality, enabling excellent customer satisfaction with lower defect rates.
- Develop a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team that drives creativity, efficiency, and productivity.
- Effectively manage resources, including the allocation of resources to work and the ability to scale up or down as needed.
- Attract and retain top engineering talent to build a strong and effective team.
- Implement best practices for software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, resulting in improved performance, quality, and reliability of products.
- Participate in the development of the organisation's overall strategy and direction, providing valuable insights and recommendations from the engineering perspective.
