**About the job**

This role is 25-30 Hours per week, our preferred hours are 9.30-3.30 Monday to Friday, but we have some flexibility on this that can be discussed at interview.

To provide an efficient and effective credit control service to the Company, appraising the credit risk of new and existing customers, together with the collection of outstanding debts, consistent with the Company’s credit policy.

**Main Responsibilities**
- To manage the debt collection of the Company’s debts, liaising with all Business Units Daikin Applied Service, J&E Hall Ltd Service branches and Coulstock & Place
- To ensure we update our system for any queries relating to delayed payments and liaise with the appropriate JEH accounts manager to ensure resolution
- To review any credit limits and late payments with Financial Controller on a regular basis
- To acquire and review financial data and credit ratings for potential and existing customers from market information and data provided by use of Experian credit agency to assess the credit worthiness of customers, paying particular attention to cash flows and liquidity.
- Set up new customers on IFS once approved
- Send monthly statements to customers, deal with queries and supply copy invoices
- To identify key risk issues, raising these as necessary with the Financial Controller
- To put “on Stop” any customers considered to be a risk.
- To have a general understanding of possible legal action, that may be required and liaise with Solicitors to resolve.
- To ensure all monthly reports are prepared in a timely manner and review with the Financial Controller and to provide ad hoc reports on request as necessary
- To attend related meetings as and when necessary
- Enter invoices on G-one (intergroup matching portal) and carry out any other tasks requested by the Financial Controller
- To be involved with insurance cover for any business where this may be necessary and to understand the basics of the system used.
- Communicate with the various branches to resolve any queries that may arise & resolve them promptly.
- Good communicator
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

**Required Experience**

Proven Credit Control experience

Commercial acumen.

Strong negotiation skills.

Clear effective communication at all levels.

IT literate

**About the Business area**

Our HR team are responsible for all HR activities including recruitment, reward & benefits, organisational design, performance and payroll and work closely with each location to provide ongoing support. Our customer focused finance team provide consolidated business analysis and monthly reporting for J & E Hall.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
