**Job description**

We are looking for an experienced Flooring Estimator to become part of our team estimating for both commercial and domestic projects. You will be dealing with clients and suppliers and help with our continued growth plan.

Helensburgh Floorplan 1983 Ltd, have been trading for over 40 years and cover projects all over Scotland. We specialise in sub-floor preparation and installation of all soft and hard coverings on both commercial and domestic projects.

**About the role**:

- **Precise Tendering**:
Taking client enquiries and evaluating the full scope and nature of the works, allowing you to generate thorough and comprehensive tenders, ensuring all specifications and requirements are accurately captured and any risks assessed. Reviewing drawings and specifications and conducting material takes offs from them.
- **Client Engagement**:

- **Supply Chain Engagement**:

- **Translation of Requirements**:
Identifying and comprehending client needs, translating them into clear and understandable tenders from Architects drawings, bills of quantities and schedule take offs.
- **Client Relationship Development**:
Cultivating positive relationships between Helensburgh Floorplan and it’s existing customer base and using your network to introduce and develop new customer relationships.
- **Team Management**:
Responsible for the management of our small team of fitters, offering them support and advice on the projects you have estimated.

**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Flooring/Commercial background
- Solid knowledge and understanding of subfloors and flooring materials
- Excellent communication skills - both written and spoken and a confident personality
- Excellent Excel and Word skills and a working knowledge of Outlook
- Excellent numerical literacy
- Attention to detail and the ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to prioritise workload, work to tight deadlines and to the correct standard
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues

**What we require**:

- A full UK Drivers licence
- Evidence of your right to work in the UK permanently

**Schedule**:

- Full-time: Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30 Friday 08:00-15:30 with a half hour unpaid lunch break

**Education**:

- SQA Highers or equivalent including Maths and English or a related Apprenticeship in a building related discipline (essential)
- HND or Degree in a building related discipline (desirable)

**Experience**:

- Estimating: 3 years (preferred)

**Salary**: £35,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience)Join our team of professionals and contribute to the success of our projects.

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
