Glasgow, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

**About the Role**

As the Theatre Peri-operative Coordinator, you will be responsible for the daily management of theatres whilst ensuring patients receive a high standard of safe, effective and person centred care. This involves communicating with Theatres and PACU/Recovery as well as all areas that have close links to the department e.g. Critical Care, to enable a smooth patient flow resulting in excellent patient outcomes. The post holder will also have a focus on utilisation, ensuring efficient use of theatres to support patients through their peri-operative journey.

You should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of leadership and managing a team, particularly through change. A commitment to quality, evidence-based care is essential, whilst having a ‘can-do’ attitude.

You will be integral in the delivery of the strategic vision and plan for the hospital, particularly in relation to the expansion of the theatre department. This will see an additional five Orthopaedic theatres and a dedicated Endoscopy suite open 2023. As we continue with the major expansion of our services, this is your chance to become part of a progressive, dynamic and person centred team, within a world renowned healthcare organisation. There has never been a more exciting time to join our team

As a National Waiting Times Centre, NHS Golden Jubilee is integral in supporting NHS Scotland to deliver a wide range of surgeries and elective programmes, addressing waiting times throughout Scotland.

**Development**

We have a dedicated Clinical Education Team, who work closely with the Leadership Academy, to provide further training and personal and professional development opportunities.

Each day is a busy one, but the fast paced environment and knowing you have made a real difference to a patient’s life makes this a very rewarding experience.

**Why NHS Golden Jubilee?**

Our philosophy of caring is embedded into our central framework, and will guide everything you do as part at NHS Golden Jubilee. As part of the team, you will be offered extensive personal and professional development available, allowing you to take control of your future, seek out opportunities for improvement and advance your career.
