**Supply Planner - Manufacturing Fabrics**

**Reference: JO4291/PW**

**Days 7:30-16:30 (Monday-Friday)**

**Salary: £30,000- £32,000 + 28 days holiday + stats + Company 4% / 3% Employee Pension + Life Assurance**

**Location: Stockport**

**The Company**

Based within one of the UK’s leading FMCG manufacturing groups my client is looking to recruit an experienced Supply Planner to add to their existing team. The facility in Manchester has been there for over 40 years and is focused around highspeed deliverof orders to its blue chip clients.

**The Role**

**Supply Planner**
- To work with the Fabric Inventory Controller in establishing initial stock holding figures for base fabrics and coated fabric stocks to ensure the Fabrics Division is able to satisfy requirements from Louvolite.
- To work with the Fabric Inventory Controller to establish and review stock holding figures ensuring this is communicated to the General Manager.
- To ensure the stock management system remains accurate and up to date.
- To work with reviewing lead times from suppliers to ensure fabric stock cover is always available at the Fabrics Division.
- To monitor the sale of fabric and work with suppliers and the sales team to minimise the levels of redundant stock as fabric programmes are discontinued.
- To liaise with suppliers regarding rejected base fabric to ensure they recognise their responsibility to replace reject fabric quickly with perfect base.
- To liaise with the QC team to raise debits against non-conformance documentation.
- To liaise with the production planning team to ensure correct levels of fabric available to fulfil stock levels of finished stock in advance of requirement.
- To use trend analysis to identify sales cycles and provide alerts to appropriate colleagues and fabric suppliers.
- To raise orders and support with purchasing, shipping and exporting with outside suppliers when required.
- To adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety standards as defined in the Health and Safety Policy.
- To work effectively within a team.
- To perform within the requirements of your position.
- To provide general administrative duties when required.
- To carry out any other duties when required. This may involve working in other departments.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Experience using a modern inventory management system (e.g. Microsoft AX, SAP, Sage or similar).
- Experience in planning, purchasing, and managing the flow of materials and supplies through an organisation.
- Experience of sourcing from Europe and the Far East.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of shipping.
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in English.
- A polite, confident telephone manner.
