South Kensington, United Kingdom Victoria and Albert Museum Full time

The V&A is rapidly changing. By Summer 2025, two new sites will have opened to the public in East London, together with the reopening of the transformed Young V&A. Our public offer will be richer, our reach wider and our perspective changed to embrace multi-site planning, programming, and delivery and engage new and future audiences.

Through this growth volunteering has enormous potential for both the public and the V&A. Building from the successes of existing programmes and insights from current volunteers, we want to develop and enhance the volunteer experience and the opportunities we offer to excite and engage a wide range of people

We believe that volunteering has enormous potential for both volunteers and the V&A. Building from the successes of existing programmes and the insights shared by current volunteers we want to develop and enhance volunteering at the V&A. We want to increase our relevance to a wide range of people and offer exciting and dynamic opportunities for people to get involved with.

Sitting within the People and Change team the newly formed Volunteering function oversees the strategic delivery and approach to volunteering across the museum family.

As the Volunteering Advisor you will be core to championing and promoting meaningful volunteering throughout the V&A. In this role you will lead and implement volunteering initiatives, act as a confident and trusted advisor to managers and teams and drive operational excellence in all ways we work with volunteers.
