Our positions involve delivering training courses to groups of unemployed people in classroom environments.

We achieve qualifications with them, motivate and build confidence and mentor through programmes that on average last 2 / 6 weeks.

We help to create a stimulating learning environment that make our customers feel welcome, valued and in a position to help develop their potential. Our trainers must feel confident in groups of 6 - 14 people and work with them individually as well as collectively to achieve desired outcomes.

We are a small team that is effective to the lives of the people who are trained by us. These are challenging but rewarding roles and if you think you can add value to our customers please apply.

You must be a driver with your own transport. It is also beneficial if you have an active DBS check.

**Pre-Employability Tutor**

**Job Outline & Purpose**:

- To deliver a good quality of training to groups of students
- To deliver vocational and/or employability qualifications
- Contribute towards ensuring excellent student attendance & retention.
- To provide excellent IAG and support
- To safeguard the welfare of all students, preventing radicalisation and promoting British Values

**Training**:

- To plan training to meet criteria and standards for vocational and/or employability qualifications, as well as the students’ individual needs.
- To deliver engaging, effective, and innovative group training sessions, so that students develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviors (KSBs)
- To engage external speakers (employers, business people, progression, and support agencies) to enhance the learning experience.
- To plan and facilitate enterprise/community projects.
- To ensure that students work skills are developed and that they are ready for working life, or further learning.
- To provide cover, where necessary, for other tutors

**Assessment**:

- To carry out initial assessment activities to identify individual needs, and develop Support Plans, to ensure that students are well-supported and achieve their learning goals.
- To conduct and document meaningful student reviews.
- Invigilate exams, as appropriate.

**Administration**:

- To complete all required documentation in accordance with laid down procedures to meet both contractual and internal requirements.

**Attendance/Retention**:

- Ensure that student attendance & retention targets are met, with absences robustly followed up.

**Qualifications & Experience - Essential**:

- Level 3 Teaching qualification

**Qualifications & Experience - Desirable**:

- Level 4/5 Teaching qualification
- Delivering training to adults 19 plus

**Safeguarding**
